A colleague passed an old document to me this week and I was struck by that old expression "the more things change, the more they stay the same."
When I read "It has become increasingly clear in recent years that there is a level of disquiet about the way in which street works, particularly but not exclusively in London and other major conurbations, are affecting already congested streets" in the DfT introduction to a document written over fifteen years ago, it occurred to me that if you read them in a similar piece of work published today, you wouldn't raise an eyebrow at the sentiment.;
I thought it might be interesting to have a look at this Street Works classic, for some of us it shows how things used to be done and for many of you, it might bring back some memories!;
