JAG(UK) awards the Outstanding Contribution Award to Ian Darbyshire on his retirement
On receipt of the award Ian said
"I am extremely humbled and proud to receive such an accolade from JAG(UK) members.
Had I known, when I stepped off of the bus outside the depot in Leeds, to embark on my career in the electricity supply industry during the scorching summer of 1976, that I would spend the final 20% of my service years trying to revise a 52 page pink book I may well have got back on the bus post-haste. However I'm glad I didn't because I went on to enjoy a varied and challenging career that has provided me with many memorable moments.
In closing, I wish you and all of your JAG(UK) colleagues all the very best for the future."
